Music came first, the camera later. For a long time I only shot on trips or during family occasions, but about ten years ago I started carrying a camera everywhere around Rome, the city I live in. Walking with no destination is mostly how I unwind from work. I don't really look for grand subjects: I just stop for good light on a wall, a silhouette in a side street, or someone rushing to catch the bus. For me, street photography comes down to this: capturing a slice of reality before it vanishes, hoping to transcend it.
